How We Pick

Questions about this page: [email protected]

How we research and rank robot vacuum and mop combos, and what we do not do.

1. What we compare

• Mopping system: spinning pads, a roller mop or a vibrating pad, how the mop is cleaned, and whether it lifts or detaches on carpet.
• Dock: auto-empty, mop washing and drying, water tank sizes, detergent dispensing and whether a plumbing kit is offered.
• Navigation and avoidance: LiDAR or camera mapping, room-by-room settings, and how the robot handles cords, socks and pet mess.
• Your home: floor types, rugs and carpet, pets, thresholds, furniture height and how much floor there is to cover.

2. Where the information comes from

Brand specifications, manuals and support pages, independent reviews and test reports, flooring-maker care guides, and patterns in feedback from verified buyers.

3. What we do not do

We do not run lab tests, and we do not claim to have used the products we cover. We do not accept payment or free products for placement. We do not show prices, because they change every day; you see the current price on the product page.

4. Updates

We review our picks when a product is discontinued, redesigned or renamed, and when better evidence appears. Corrections are welcome at [email protected].
